Greene County youngsters in grades 5 through 8 got to learn skills and have fun, too, while participating in Greene County Extension’s summer STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) clubs in June.
More than 20 students took part in Kids in the Kitchen, photography or the robotics programs. They learned how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals, take quality photos and how to build and program robots.
Greene County Extension partnered with Greene County Schools to make the educational programs available. The programs were paid for by funds received through Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network mini-grants.
